Miami's Kc McDermott promises a 'nastier' O-line
Offensive lineman Kc McDermott watched the film from Miami's spring game and did not like what he saw from his unit, Christy Cabrera Chirinos of the Sun Sentinel reports.
"I took from it that our offense needs to play nastier. We’re going to start playing nastier. It’s something we’ve all been saying since that Monday we got back. We watched the film and as an offensive unit and we all decided, 'Hey, this is not exactly how we want to play,'" McDermott told Chirinos. "We realize it was the spring game, but the defense did come out with more of a mission than us and we’re not going to let that happen again."
The offensive line has been identified as an early weakness for the Hurricanes. Injuries haven't helped, as McDermott himself missed some time this spring while recovering from a knee injury, Chirinos notes.
As long as he's healthy, McDermott will lead a 'Canes O-line in 2015 that is lucky to have some freshman reinforcements on the way.
