Michigan Football Getting Huge Visitors For This Week's Game

Oh yeah, recruiting is still a thing. Michigan football has some big-time recruits who will be on campus this Saturday for the Wisconsin game.

This Saturday’s game against Wisconsin is going to be an important one for Michigan football on two fronts.

First, a win gives the Wolverines a 5-0 start to the season and Jim Harbaugh’s first win over a top-10 team. Second, four big-time prospects will be on hand for the most important recruiting weekend of the young season.

Five-star outside linebacker Baron Browning (Kennedale, Texas) headlines the list of visitors this weekend. Browning, ranked by 247Sports as the No. 2 outside linebacker in the 2017 class and the No. 9 prospect overall, is currently considered a Texas lean.

Browning was last on campus in Ann Arbor for an unofficial visit in June, and he’ll get a second chance to see Michigan play when he takes an official visit to Ohio State on Nov. 26.

Left tackle Alex Leatherwood (Pensacola, Florida) is the other five-star expected to be at Michigan this weekend. Ranked as the No. 4 tackle in the 2017 class and No. 7 prospect overall, Leatherwood has been committed to Alabama since June 2015.

Other than a trip to Alabama on Nov. 26, Leatherwood doesn’t have an official visit scheduled for this season outside of Michigan.

Four-star offensive tackle Jedrick Wills (Lexington, Kentucky), ranked as the No. 1 overall prospect in Kentucky, will also be on hand this weekend. Wills received his offer from the Wolverines in February; this will be his first visit to Ann Arbor. The 247Sports Crystal Ball favors Alabama at 82 percent.

The final high-profile prospect expected to be at Michigan this weekend is another four-star offensive tackle, Chuck Filiago (Aledo, Texas). Filiago got his offer from Michigan in March, and, like Wills, this will be his first visit to Ann Arbor. USC is considered a pretty decent favorite for Filiago.
