Michigan, Maryland could feel effects of storm this weekend
Of course there are much more important things to worry about than football to worry about when Mother Nature starts stirring things up, but there are indications the game between Michigan and Maryland scheduled for Saturday night could be affected one way or another.
The Washington Post had an extensive report Wednesday that indicated, among other things, Hurricane Joaquin could hit the Washington D.C area this weekend.
If that does happen, it is not expected to be until Sunday, but heavy rains seems at least likely even if the storm misses the Delmarva peninsula altogether.
Of course, that is all subject to change as the weather tends to be very unpredictable, but it has already forced the Big Ten Network to alter its plans for coverage of the game between the Wolverines and the Terrapins by canceling the network's planned pregame show.
