Michigan OC Drevno updates Wolverines QB situation for Rutgers

Published Nov. 5, 2015 11:11 a.m. ET

After leaving last week's game at Minnesota with what has been identified as a rib injury, Jake Rudock is expected to be ready to go at quarterback for Michigan this weekend at Rutgers.

Offensive coordinator Tim Drevno told reporters Wednesday that Rudock was able to practice Tuesday.

"He's out there throwing and running around," Drevno said. "He looks good, he really does."

Rudock was replaced by Wilton Speight, who threw a game-winning touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter as the Wolverines prevailed 29-26.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh said earlier in the week he would start the player who gave the team the best chance to win.
