Michigan State among nation's best bets almost every week
How good will Michigan State be this fall?
Only time will tell, but the Spartans have the attention of oddsmakers in Las Vegas.
Per RJ Bell at Pregame.com, Michigan State is one of seven teams who are underdogs only once this fall.
Ohio State is favored by 12.5 against the Spartans when the teams play in late November, although Bell notes that line has moved after the Buckeyes opened as 14-point favorites.
Oregon is also in the group of one-time underdogs as the Ducks are plus-1 for their game at Michigan State.
The over/under on wins for the Spartans is 9.5, and they have the ninth-best odds to win the national title at 28/1, trailing Ohio State, Alabama, TCU, Auburn, USC, Florida State, Baylor and Oregon.
The next Big Ten team on the list is Wisconsin at 75/1 while Michigan is 90/1. Penn State checks in at 100/1.
