Michigan State Football: Betting odds vs. Maryland

What does the point spread look like for Michigan State football’s Week 8 matchup with the Maryland Terrapins?

It’s been a rough start to the season for Michigan State football. In fact, the Spartans are just 2-4 through six games and this wasn’t quite what Mark Dantonio had in mind when he dubbed the 2016 season’s mantra ‘Back2Back.’

There’s still plenty of time to right the ship, but the Spartans will need to do it sooner rather than later if they want to make a bowl. However, Maryland hosts Michigan State in the midst of a quarterback controversy. Will it be Tyler O’Connor or freshman stud Brian Lewerke tonight?

Looking to place a bet on the game but need to see what the odds look like first? You might be surprised to know that Michigan State is favored, so spend wisely.

Here are the betting odds for Saturday night’s Michigan State vs. Maryland game:

Point Spread: Michigan State -3
Over/Under: 51

Honestly, I’m not sure what to think of this spread. I predicted Michigan State would win 31-30, so I would take Maryland and the points, but it’s still going to be tough. The Spartans haven’t covered the spread yet this season as the favorite.

If Lewerke starts, that give an entirely new outlook on the game. If It’s O’Connor that walks about of the huddle and onto the field to start the game, things will look bleak. It’s a toss-up right now.
