Michigan State Football: Weather report vs. Michigan
Here’s the weather report for Saturday’s Michigan State football game against the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines.
A few years ago, it was a rainy East Lansing Saturday afternoon that was the center of attention in Michigan. Then-No. 22 Michigan State football hosted No. 21 Michigan on a rain-soaked day and the Spartans ended up with their most memorable win (outside of 2015) in the rivalry’s history.

Michigan State held the Wolverines to -48 yards rushing and the weather seemed to play a bit of a role, along with the impressive pass rush, in Michigan’s struggles. Will that be the case on Saturday to keep the Spartans in the game?
Could Brian Lewerke’s or Tyler O’Connor’s passing attack be stymied by the inclement weather or will it be a beautiful day for football? Here’s the weather forecast for East Lansing tomorrow:
Kickoff: 65°F, 15% chance of rain, 13 mph NE wind
Game’s end: 66°F, 15% chance of rain, 12 mph NE wind
Luckily it looks like precipitation won’t be a factor. The Spartans won’t be afraid to pull out all the tricks for this one and with no poor weather on the way, Dantonio will be able to be as aggressive as possible with no sloppy turnovers — at least not rain-induced.
No one is giving Michigan State much of a shot to win this one, and for good reason. The Spartans are just 2-5 and have shown no signs of life and Michigan has allowed just 15 total points over the last four games.
Still, it will be a great day to watch some football and take in the rivalry.
