Michigan State lineup could include a 'shock' at Michigan
Michigan State football's injury woes have been well-documented this season, but the Spartans haven't gotten desperate yet.
That could change if junior cornerback Darian Hicks can't play this week, though.
Hicks, who joined the starting lineup after two DBs went down with long-term injuries, took a hit to the head Saturday night when the Spartans won at Rutgers, and SpartanTailgate reports his ability to play this week at Michigan is still unknown.
That led co-defensive coordinator Harlon Jacobs to tell reporters, "We may shock you guys this weekend," when they take the field against the Wolverines.
And why would that be?
If the MSU coaches have to burn the redshirts of freshmen Josh Butler or Tyson Smith.
As of now, they are set to back up senior Arjen Colquhoun and junior Jermaine Edmondson, who were the team's first-team cornerbacks at the end of the night in Piscataway.
Butler and Smith were both four-star recruits in the class of 2015.
