Michigan State Recruiting: 5-star WR Donovan Peoples-Jones to visit
Michigan State recruiting is getting an important visit from five-star 2017 wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones this weekend.
It’s been a quiet month for Michigan State recruiting on the football trail, but it might be heating up soon, especially with the visit from five-star 2017 wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones this weekend.

According to Allen Trieu of Scout.com, Peoples-Jones is expected to be in East Lansing for the Northwestern game.
Teammates with one of the other major visitors this weekend who also happens to be a Spartan commit, Jordan Reid, Peoples-Jones will have guys in his ear the whole time. He is fresh off a visit to Ohio State last weekend and Michigan the weekend before.
Demetric Vance and Donnie Corley are two guys who Peoples-Jones is close with in the Spartans’ freshman class right now. They keep in close contact with him and might ultimately try to influence his decision.
However, many believe that Michigan is the team to beat. The Wolverines have been trending with the nation’s top receiving recruit for some time and that’s not much of a surprise. In fact, he has been close with the Wolverines and members of the team for some time.
Ohio State also has a pull-factor with former teammate Mike Weber performing well as the starting running back. That offense could be even more lethal with Weber at running back and Peoples-Jones starring at receiver.
Peoples-Jones is ranked the No. 8 overall recruit and No. 1 receiver in the 2017 class out of Detroit Cass Tech, according to 247Sports. Florida, Michigan, Ohio State and Michigan State are all expected to be contenders to land him.
