Not surprisingly, the hot first half of the season turned in by the Michigan defense has led to some of the players on the unit getting noticed.

The Maxwell Football Club announced Thursday it has added three Wolverines to its watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award, which goes to the best defensive player in college football.

Cornerback Jourdan Lewis, the reigning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, is now on the list along with linemen Chris Wormley and Maurice Hurst Jr..
