Mississippi State Football Forecast: Midday Jaguars

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

With the 2016 Mississippi State Football season about to begin, it’s time for us to take an eye to the sky for the first game against South Alabama.

With everyone focusing on Hurricane Hermine in the Gulf of Mexico, someone may have forgotten that we have college football this weekend. But that’s not the case with me, so I’m here to bring us back to the place where we all grab our cowbells and enjoy some Mississippi State football.

With that in mind, we have a high pressure ridge moving in which is pushing Hurricane Hermine out of the Gulf and towards the bend in Florida. This high pressure will control the weather for a long while in Mississippi, and should provide a toasty opening weekend of football. Mississippi State has already implemented their Heat Advisory conditions inside Davis Wade Stadium. Please take note, and use the resources available to prevent personal injury to yourself and loved ones around you.

Also, remember that Davis Wade Stadium will join others in the SEC implementing a Clear Bag Policy for all home games this season. So remember to bring clear bags that follow SEC protocol to all of the games in Davis Wade. This weekend should not be an issue since you won’t need to bring in a jacket or any other sort of rain protection. Without further adieu, let’s get right to the forecast.
