Missouri must now try and focus on football against tough BYU squad

Although faced with considerable distraction over the past 72 hours, the Missouri football team can collectively "exhale" with the resignation of president Tim Wolfe.

All football-related activities have resumed -- with the Tigers scheduled to practice on Tuesday. A nonconference game against a 7-2 BYU team awaits Gary Pinkel and his team at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Saturday.

Winners of their last five games, the Cougars are entering this contest with a ton of confidence. An explosive offense led by signal-caller Tanner Mangum, running back Algernon Brown, and receivers Devon Blackmon and Mitch Matthews will test Missouri's exceptional defense.

Although the Tigers lost last week at home to Mississippi State, there were some positive signs to take away from the game.

Running back Russell Hansbrough scored Missouri's first touchdown in four games. He, along with the likes of Ish Witter and Tyler Hunt, combined for an impressive 215 yards rushing.

With signal-caller Drew Lock still struggling to throw the football with consistency, Mizzou may have to rely upon its ground-game in order to pull the upset against BYU on Saturday.
