Mizzou gets big commitment on Saturday

Published Sep. 19, 2015 6:49 p.m. ET

Although Missouri labored through an uninspiring 9-6 victory over Connecticut on Saturday, head coach Gary Pinkel did get some good news when it came to recruiting.

Tight end prospect Albert Okwuegbunam committed to the Tigers earlier in the day. A Rivals.com 3-star prospect, the Illinois native chose Mizzou over offers from Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska, Minnesota, and West Virginia, among others.

According to Okwuegbunam's Hudl account, the tight end (listed at 6-foot-5, 222 pounds) runs an impressive 4.5 in the 40-yard dash.
