Mizzou punter turning some heads

Having solid special teams play is a hallmark for any good program. The ability to take care of the ball, create scoring chances, flip field position, and change momentum with a big return are all significant facets of games.

Missouri punter Corey Fatony has been one of the Tigers' best players throughout the first two games of the season. The freshman from Tennessee has connected solidly on virtually every punt. Each kick has gone between 37-60 yards. His 47.8 yards-per-punt average ranks him within the top-10 of all punters nationally.

His ability to pin the opponents back deep within their own territory has been on display. Simply put, he's already proven himself to be a very valuable weapon for head coach Gary Pinkel's team.
