Most difficult player for Nebraska to replace: Ameer Abdullah

The Nebraska Cornhuskers enter the 2015 season with a new head coach in Mike Riley. I am sure he wishes there was a way to have both Randy Gregory and Ameer Abdullah for one season to help smooth his transition but they are both gone.

Replacing Gregory's game changing ability on defense will be near impossible but he doesn't get the nod from me. Over the last two seasons Ameer Abdullah rushed for 3,301 yards and 28 touchdowns. The Huskers will try to replace that production with a committee approach early in the season, though most expect Terrell Newby to top the depth chart when Mike Riley releases one.

Beyond his on-field production, Abdullah's leadership has been invaluable to the Huskers. THe keynote speaker at last year's Big Ten Media Days is said to received the highest character grade ever from scouts.
