MSU's Calhoun picks up third career Big Ten weekly honor

Michigan State defensive end Shilique Calhoun did not turn in the unbelievable game-winning play for the Spartans on Saturday at Michigan, but he had a lot to do with MSU staying close enough to make that possible.

After notching a career-high 3.5 tackles for loss against the Wolverines, Calhoun was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the third time in his career and the second time this season.

Two of those stops in the backfield were sacks.

He also won the award on the last weekend of September.
