Nation's No. 1 prospect says he must make 'selfish' decision
Michigan has Rashan Gary's old Paramus High School coach, Chris Partridge, and several former stars from his home state of New Jersey on its roster.
Per the Detroit Free Press, the nation's top-rated recruit told reporters in Florida on Tuesday that won't hurt the Wolverines' quest to get his signature on a letter of intent in February, but it also hasn't sealed the deal.
“At the end of the day, I have to be selfish,” Gary said. “For this decision, I’ve got to think about myself and my family. That really doesn’t appeal to me.”
In Florida for the Under Armour All-America Game, Gary has impressed those who have seen practice so far, and he is still making final plans for recruiting trips in January.
He has been to Michigan, Ole Miss and Auburn with USC and potentially one more school expected to get a shot next month.
Will anyone else? Will it matter?
Only time will tell.
