Nation's top prospect to visit Ole Miss for LSU game
The "Magnolia Bowl" rivalry between Ole Miss and LSU is a fierce one -- dating back to 1894.
Ole Miss still technically is alive in the race to win the SEC West Division. LSU would love nothing more than to upend its rivals -- whilst also ending a two-game losing streak in the process.
The atmosphere at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium figures to be electric (unless you ask LSU head coach Les Miles).
As such, it appears to be the perfect setting for hosting big-time recruits. Defensive tackle Rashan Gary -- the nation's top overall recruit according to Scout.com -- will be one of these visitors.
Gary is a man amongst boys on the high school level. At 6'4", 286 pounds, he's both quick and powerful. There's no question he'd be able to come in right away at whichever school he signs with, and contribute.
Ole Miss hopes lightning can strike twice with top-rated out-of-state defensive linemen. A few years ago, Hugh Freeze and his staff were able to sign Georgia-native Robert Nkemdiche. Gary -- hailing from New Jersey -- would be a similar coup.
