NCAA football week two is upon us. We take a look at the top five bets to make in this young season.

The first week of college football lived up to the hype and then some. There were big upsets, overtime games and a huge comeback win for FSU over Ole Miss in primetime on Monday night.

Unfortunately, our top five bets didn’t live up to the hype as they finished (2-3). Although, the Clemson bet was a bit of a bad beat and who saw FSU and Ole Miss being involved in a shootout?

Anyways, that’s NCAA football in a nutshell and what makes it so great. The second week of NCAA football lacks all the big games of course. However, there’s still some value out there.

So let’s get into our top five bets of the week.

Thoughts

Bet #1

Georgia Southern -13 vs. South Alabama

South Alabama is coming off a win against an SEC team in Mississippi St., and may have been patting themselves on the back all week. S. Alabama has a poor run defense and that’s Georgia Southern’ bread and butter.

Bet #2

Louisville vs. Syracuse UNDER 69

Look, I understand everyone is in love with Lamar Jackson and all the touchdowns he scored against Charlotte last week. However, Syracuse always seems to play teams tough at home and 69 points is a lot considering Louisville’s defense.

Bet #3

Miami -25 vs. Florida Atlantic

I actually got this at a lower number earlier in the week, but this is what’s available now. Miami always whips up on these types of teams until it’s time to play big boy football.

Bet #4

Clemson -36 vs. Troy

Clemson’s defense is legit. There offense is too. They’ll use this game as a tune up to workout all of the offensive kinks they showed against Auburn last week.

Bet #5

Akron +24.5 vs. Wisconsin

Wisconsin is coming off the huge upset win over LSU at Lambeau Field last week. Offensively they are not anything special and will try to run the ball to death(like LSU did against them). Akron will pose a much different threat offensively(can run and throw it) and I think they’ll put points up on Wisky.

Good luck, and remember to bet responsibly.  Feel free to place your bets/thoughts in the comments section.
