Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. was carted off the field during Saturday night’s game against Ohio State after a scary injury.

Armstrong was leveled out of bounds after scrambling for a first down, and hit his head against the ground. He lied motionless for a few minutes and was put on a stretcher to be taken off the field, giving a thumbs up to the crowd.

Nebraska released a statement following the play, relaying that Armstrong was briefly knocked unconscious, and was able to move his extremities and talk while down on the field.
