New recruit hints at what Jabrill Peppers' Michigan future could hold

For Michigan football, Kareem Walker could be the gift that keeps giving. 

First of all, the soon-to-be early enrolling freshman is considered one of the most talented players in the country for the class for 2016. 

Second, he joined Jim Harbaugh's first full Michigan recruiting class in December after initially being pledged to Ohio State, so that bit of bragging rights is always nice for fans of the Maize and Blue. 

But what if Walker's presence makes more than one side of the ball better for Michigan next season? 

Per the Detroit Free Press, he told reporters in Florida at practice for the Under Armour All-America Game he sees a chance to contribute early at running back. 

And if that happens, it would mean there is not a need for do-it-all youngster Jabrill Peppers to play the position, something his fellow New Jersey native said he would prefer not to do anyway. 

Peppers added some pop to an offense lacking in the playmaking department this season, but he was primarily a defensive player. His impact led some to wonder if he might move to offense full time, and Harbaugh hasn't ruled it out. 

Playing offense also limited his opportunities as a kick returner, so shoring up the running back spot without Peppers could have a large ripple effect for the Wolverines.
