NFL legend Dan Marino to be Pitt's honorary captain for Notre Dame game
The Pitt football team will have its hands full when it hosts No. 5 Notre Dame (7-1) this Saturday at noon so it enlisted the help in the form of an NFL legend.
On Wednesday, it was announced that former Pitt star quarterback Dan Marino, an NFL Hall of Famer, will serve as the honorary captain during the Panthers (6-2) clash with the Fighting Irish.
Marino starred for Pitt from 1979-81 and led the Panthers to three straight top five finishes.
Pitt also announced that former Panther legends Tony Dorsett, Mike Ditka, Jim Covert, Bill Fralic, John Majors and Jackie Sherrill will be on hand to watch the big game.
