Nick Saban takes some parting shots at transferring Alabama QB

Nick Saban took a couple veiled shots at Blake Barnett on the quarterback’s way out the door at Alabama.

Barnett, who started the Crimson Tide’s season opener against USC before being replaced by Jalen Hurts, officially transferred this week. The timing is curious since the top-ranked Tide are just four games into the season and Hurts – also a freshman – conceivably could struggle enough to create an opportunity for the backup.

When asked about it on his weekly radio show Thursday, Saban never mentioned Barnett’s name but had some scathing remarks that undoubtedly were directed his way. From AL.com:

Saban then made history by unofficially becoming the first coach in college football history to use a septic tank analogy:

In other words, good luck, Blake.
