Nine FCS players already committed to Shrine Game

(STATS) - A pair of teammates from two Missouri Valley Football Conference programs are among the nine FCS players to have accepted invitations to play in the 93rd East-West Shrine Game Jan. 20 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Illinois State will send cornerback Davontae Harris and defensive tackle Dalton Keene and South Dakota State has wide receiver Jake Wieneke and center Jacob Ohnesorge headed to the nation's oldest college football all-star game. All four players have made the MVFC first team as seniors.

Also headed to the Shrine Game from the FCS are Penn wide receiver Justin Watson, Maine offensive tackle Jamil Demby, Delaware defensive tackle Bilal Nichols, Villanova cornerback Malik Reaves and North Dakota safety Cole Reyes.

Full rosters have yet to be announced for the game. Sam Houston State quarterback Jeremiah Briscoe, the 2016 STATS FCS Walter Payton Award winner, has received an invitation to the game.
