No. 1 2017 prospect in country has top six; favors Alabama

After finishing with the nation's No. 1 recruiting class in 2016, Alabama and Nick Saban have fully turned their attentions to the class of 2017.

While it initially appears to be a deep and talented group, one prospect has been sitting atop the proverbial mountain ever since he was a high school freshman.

Via a report from ESPN, 2017 athlete Dylan Moses has his focus on six schools: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Texas, UCLA, and USC. Of the six, the Baton Rouge native favors one above the rest.

"Alabama is still my leader because they are more structured," said Moses. "I like their strength program, coach [Scott] Cochran, coach [Nick] Saban. It's just a really great coaching staff over there and I just really feel comfortable there."

Regarded as the top-ranked athlete in the class by 247Sports, Moses has terrific positional versatility -- playing as both a running back and an outside linebacker. Within the report, he also mentions the desire to hear more from Michigan -- as well as his plan to check out the Florida schools, and his native LSU.

A one-time commitment to the Tigers (as an eighth-grader), Moses decided to attend IMG Academy in Florida for his senior season. Although there are some serious ties to the LSU program, it remains to be seen as to whether Moses will truly entertain the idea of heading back to his home state of Louisiana.
