No. 2 ranked WR Tyrie Cleveland trending toward the Razorbacks?

With the results on the field improving each and every season under Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema, recruits have certainly taken notice of the Razorbacks upward trend. With the Feb. 3 National Signing Day closing in, the Hogs have left quite the impression on Texas receiver and Under Armour All-American Tyrie Cleveland.

Rated as the No. 2 receiver in the nation and a four-star prospect by 247Sports, Cleveland took an official visit to Fayetteville over the weekend. Following the visit, Cleveland has been predicted by many to flip from his current Houston commitment and ultimately sign with Arkansas:

Notorious for their dominant running attack and physical offensive line, Cleveland questioned what the offense would look like under first-year coordinator Dan Enos last spring. According to 247Sports, the Razorback offense did exactly what the coaching staff said they would do before the season ever began:

“It was just about offensive schemes, everything he do and how things work,” Cleveland said. “I came down this spring and (Arkansas receivers coach Michael Smith) kind of told me what they were going to do and throughout the season he proved it. He kept his word.”

“It helped them a lot,” Cleveland said. “Like I said earlier, I asked them this spring if they were going to throw the ball and this past season Allen had 31 touchdowns and 3,500 yards so that answered my question.”

Cleveland committed to Houston just over a month ago, however the lure of playing in the SEC may be too much for him to turn down. The top receiver prospect visited TCU before his Fayetteville visit and plans to visit Florida this weekend before making his final decision on National Signing Day.
