No longer lollygagging, Arizona becomes hottest recruiting team
Arizona for the most part had been quiet on the recruiting front this offseason.
The Wildcats were known to have a quiet May, and they didn't quite turn up the heat in July.
But the month of July has been a complete about-face for Arizona, which already has secured nine commitments this month.
Bleacher Report's Brian Pedersen explains how the Wildcats are peaking at the right time.
"The Wildcats have also concentrated most of their efforts on filling up a class early and then keeping it intact rather than chasing after big names right up until signing day," Pedersen writes. "The 2016 recruiting performance has been lagging in that respect until the calendar turned to July, when suddenly Arizona went from one of the least active teams in terms of commitments to maybe the hottest."
