North Dakota player allegedly shoplifted while wearing team jersey

Wonder if they let him keep his jersey?

Dustin Iverson, a junior fullback, has been kicked off the football team at the University of North Dakota "for actions detrimental to our program and the university," coach Bubba Schweigert announced Monday, without specifying what those actions were.

On Wednesday, though, the Grand Forks Herald reported that Iverson had been charged with theft for allegedly shoplifting $16 worth of biceps bands from a Grand Forks store on Friday.

Why did we mention the jersey? A store employee identified Iverson as the shoplifter via video footage because he was wearing a North Dakota football jersey and then the employee picked Iverson out from the team photo, according to charging documents.

So, are the "actions detrimental" just the alleged theft or also not being savvy enough to avoid wearing a team jersey when he supposedly did it?
