Oklahoma will face Iowa State Thursday in Ames without the services of running back Joe Mixon.
Mixon was suspended for a violation of team rules, the school announced Wednesday. Per Soonersports.com:
"OU sets very high standards and they must be met by all of our student-athletes," said OU Head Coach Bob Stoops.

Mixon said, "I regret that I did not respond appropriately to parking attendants and understand and accept the consequences."
Mixon leads the Sooners with 813 yards rushing in eight games. He has scored five touchdowns on the ground and added four more receiving. Mixon has caught 24 passes for 357 yards.
I'm told from reliable source Mixon tore up a parking ticket in front of an officer. @NEWS9 #Sooners
