Oklahoma WR Green-Beckham, DT Phillips to enter NFL Draft
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said Tuesday that receiver Dorial Green-Beckham and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips have told him they will declare for the NFL Draft.
Green-Beckham never played a down for the Sooners. He was not allowed to play this season after the NCAA denied the school's request for a waiver that would have made him eligible to play immediately. He transferred to Oklahoma after being dismissed by Missouri last April after several run-ins with the law during his two years at the school. He caught 59 passes for 883 yards and scored 12 touchdowns two years ago. Oklahoma was criticized for bringing him in, but Stoops stands by the decision.
Phillips, a 6-foot-6, 334-pounder, had 38 tackles, including seven for losses, this season. He had two seasons remaining.
