The Rebels will play South Alabama for the first time in school history as the Jaguars just started their program seven years ago.

Ole Miss will play it’s first ever Pac-12 Conference opponent when it travels to Berkeley to face California. The Rebels will also play the Alabama schools in back-to-back games on the road for the first time since 2013.

Ole Miss will travel to Lexington as it’s rotating SEC East opponent. This will be the first time the Rebels have played Kentucky since the 2011 season.

Lastly, the most notable item on the schedule is the Egg Bowl is moving back to Thanksgiving.  It has been reported that this is for both the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

The last time Ole Miss and Mississippi State played on Thanksgiving was in 2013 when MSU won 17-10 in overtime.
