Ole Miss Football: Christmas Wish List
The Christmas holiday is near us and everyone is filling out their wish list for Santa. What would be on that list for Ole Miss football?
Ole Miss football is not going to be at a bowl game for this Christmas and New Year holiday, but that doesn’t mean Rebel fans can’t have a wish list.
If Ole Miss fans could have wishes granted what would they be? Maybe a linebacker? Or some recruits? Find out what it is right here.

Ole Miss had the worst rushing defense in the SEC in 2016. So what could be added to our wish list to improve that? More linebackers, of course. With guys like Willie Gay, C.J. Avery and others who are uncommitted the Rebels linebacker corp could be improved drastically in 2017.

Former Ole Miss defensive coordinator Dave Wommack retired right before the Egg Bowl. That leaves the Rebels without a man to lead the defense. A lot of Ole Miss fans were hoping for former linebackers coach Tom Allen. However, Allen was hired as the new Indiana coach last week.
That leaves a few options, although Auburn co-defensive coordinator Wesley McGriff appears to be the leader. However, there could be some off the radar options that haven’t been discussed.

This one is the obvious one for Rebel Nation as the recruiting season is now heating up. Akers is the top prospect in Mississippi and plays a position of need for the Rebels, running back.
It is clear the NCAA investigation will hurt Ole Miss’ class, but landing a guy like Akers will give the Rebels a big morale boost in the off-season.
