Ole Miss football has a bye week on Saturday, the only time Rebel fans will have a rest during the fall. So what should Ole Miss fans watch without the Rebels?
Ole Miss is still in the middle of the SEC West race and even has an outside shot at the playoff with a little help around the country.
Here are some games Ole Miss fans should watch during the bye week with who Rebel fans should be pulling for while they watch from the couch.

Who Ole Miss fans should root for: I know the common answer here is to root against MSU because it’s what Ole Miss fans do. But hear me out. Ole Miss fans need to root for Auburn. The Tigers come to Oxford in three weeks and the last thing the Rebels need is a hot Auburn team to come rolling into Vaught-Hemingway. Plus, Auburn is much more of a threat to win the SEC West than MSU.

Who Ole Miss fans should root for: This one should be pretty easy. Not only are Ole Miss and LSU big rivals, but we need the Gators to beat LSU for several reasons. The obvious one is for the SEC West, a loss by LSU will all but knock out the Tigers for the division crown.
What Ole Miss fans really want to avoid is Ed Orgeron and LSU to have momentum going into the Ole Miss game in two weeks. A win by the Tigers and that game will be a big one for both teams.

Who Ole Miss fans should root for: This is kind of tough for me to choose. I think Ole Miss’ best chance to make the SEC Championship Game is for a three-way tie with Alabama and Texas A&M. In this scenario, you would need the Aggies to win every game except for when they play Ole Miss. However, it is probably best since it is still early for Texas A&M to go ahead and start losing games.
Therefore, Ole Miss fans will need to root for Tennessee to continue their winning ways and find a way to pull out another one in College Station.

Who Ole Miss fans should root for: This one is the most obvious. With Ole Miss’ 48-43 loss to Alabama on September 17th, the Rebels need Alabama to lose twice to win the SEC West.
While the game in Fayetteville isn’t the most likely for the Crimson Tide to lose, it is an obstacle and Ole Miss fans everywhere can cheer Woo Pig Sooie, at least for this weekend.
