After their loss to Alabama, Arkansas faces an Ole Miss team coming off of its bye week and looking for revenge after their previous meeting with the Razorbacks.

If not for the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Ole Miss Rebels might have been the SEC West representative in the SEC Championship game in 2015. But a lateral on a 4th and 25 play changed all of that for Ole Miss has the Razorbacks defeated the Rebels in overtime. The Rebels, whether they admit it or not, have to have that game on their minds and have it serving as motivation for this matchup. Ole Miss has won two in a row and are looking to keep their winning streak going after having a week off to prepare for this game.

While the Rebels were busy resting and practicing, Arkansas had its hands full with the Alabama Crimson Tide, a game that Alabama won. Arkansas was looking for a program defining win last week, but it did not come. Now the Razorbacks have to get a win or they will fall out of the Top 25 and effectively (if they aren’t already) out of SEC West contention. While Arkansas has been good on offense, their defense has been the back breaker for the team. Not necessarily the problem you want to have against offensive powerhouse such as Ole Miss.

The Razorbacks desperately need a win. Ole Miss is out for revenge. Something has to give between these two good offenses. Both teams lack when it comes to defense so the scoring coulee get interesting. Whenever these teams meet, something crazy seems to happen. Whether that be the lateral play last season or the 7 OT game back in 2002, both of which Arkansas won. I give the edge to Ole Miss in this game. The Rebels have a better offense and the more experienced quarterback in Chad Kelly.
