Oregon RB Thomas Tyner not on 103-man roster after season-ending surgery
Could Oregon RB Thomas Tyner leave the program? While that certainly doesn't seem to be the case right now, his absence from Oregon's 103-man fall roster at the very least curious.
Here's what The Oregonian's Andrew Greif wrote about the situation:
"Tyner was not on Oregon's 103-man roster Monday morning and will not be a part of the team ahead of the season-opening game against Eastern Washington on Sept. 5, third-year UO head coach Mark Helfrich said.
Oregon was already operating on the assumption Tyner, a former record-setting prep star at Aloha High School, would miss the season after undergoing surgery last Friday to repair the left shoulder he injured in October 2014. (Helfrich didn't elaborate on why the surgery came on the final weekend of the offseason, and not earlier). That he might step away from the team entirely for a period of time, however was new."
"His availability after that remains to be seen," Helfrich said."
