Pac-12 post-spring Heisman Trophy odds

Published May. 14, 2015 3:11 p.m. ET

Is it possible for the Pac-12 to produce back-to-back Heisman Trophy winners? It wouldn't be the first time, but it seems to be a little bit of a long shot. There's a ton of talent returning to the conference this year; however, based on the preseason odds, the conference does not have one player who stands above the rest.

Last season, Oregon QB Marcus Mariota was the preseason favorite to win the award and ended up doing so in impressive fashion. This year, the presumed favorite is Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliot and TCU QB Trevone Boykin.

Here are the current Heisman Trophy odds for Pac-12 players:

- USC QB Cody Kessler 12/1

- UCLA RB Paul Perkins 20/1

- Oregon RB Royce Freeman 28/1

- ASU RB D.J. Foster 40/1

- Arizona RB Nick Wilson 40/1

- Cal QB Jared Goff 50/1

- Arizona LB Scooby Wright 66/1

Of course, there will be other Pac-12 candidates who's odds aren't listed yet. Players like Arizona QB Anu Solomon, Oregon QB Jeff Lockie or Vernon Adams Jr. and even UCLA RB/LB Myles Jack could be in the mix at some point this season.

The last time the Pac-12 had back-to-back Heisman Trophy winners was in 2004 and 2005 when USC teammates Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush took home the award. However, Bush was later stripped of the trophy.
