Pair of Gophers named to Bednarik watch list

A pair of Minnesota Golden Gophers seniors were named to the Bednarik Award watch list that was released on Tuesday.

Briean Boddy-Calhoun and Eric Murray were two of 80 players named for the award that rewards the College Defensive Player of the Year. They are the only cornerback teammates on the list.

Boddy-Calhoun and Murray are the first Gophers named to the preseason Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List since Ra’Shede Hageman.
