Party on! Clemson earns No. 1 seed in College Football Playoffs
Pizza never tasted so good. One day after No. 1 Clemson (13-0) topped No. 10 North Carolina, 47-35, to win the ACC championship, the Tigers found out they would be the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoffs.
Clemson will take on No. 4 Oklahoma (11-1) in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31 in Miami, while No. 2 Alabama (12-1) will battle No. 3 Michigan State (12-1) in the Cotton Bowl.
Before Saturday’s ACC Championship Game, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney promised Tigers’ that he would throw a pizza party inside Death Valley to celebrate his team’s season on Sunday. Swinney delivered, and so did his team as it withstood a late charge by UNC to capture the conference crown. It's estimated that 20,000 Tigers fans showed up for the party.
