Petition is created to change start-time of South Carolina-Clemson game

Published Nov. 17, 2015 5:18 p.m. ET

On Monday, it was announced the South Carolina-Clemson game will have a noon start-time at Williams-Brice Stadium on Nov. 28. This curiously marks the sixth time in 2015 in which a Gamecocks' game has started at noon.

Many disillusioned South Carolina fans took to social media to voice their displeasure at the starting time of the contest. One fan in particular took it a step further -- creating a petition to officially try and get the time of the game changed.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the petition had 8,060 supporters. The goal is to reach 10,000 signatures.

The noon time would complicate things from a tailgating perspective. In addition, the petition states moving the game to "something other than noon." The times of 3:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. have been suggested.
