Petrino pens thank you letter to fans
Bobby Petrino heard you Louisville Cardinals fans, and he wants to say “thank you.”
The Cardinals wrapped up the 2015 season with a 27-21 victory over Texas A&M in the Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tenn., as Louisville received strong support from the 50,000-plus fans in attendance.
“Every bowl game is a special experience, but it is even better when our fans completely take over the location like you all did in Music City,” Petrino said in his letter. “Having Nissan Stadium feel like we were back home in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium was tremendous for our staff and team, and bringing home the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl trophy was icing on the cake. This was a true team effort, and we couldn't have done it without you!"
With the win, the Cardinals finished the year with an 8-5 record.
