Photo: Clemson creates Match.com profile to attract ESPN's College GameDay
Call me maybe? That’s the message Clemson sent out to ESPN this week when the school created a Match.com profile and tweeted it to the College GameDay crew with the hopes of luring them to Death Valley on Oct. 3 when the No. 11 Tigers (3-0, 1-0 ACC) host No. 6 Notre Dame (3-0) at 8 p.m.
The tweet showed a picture of the Tigers profile and read: “Hi @CollegeGameDay — we know you're busy this Saturday but maybe we could get together next week? DM if interested...”
At the top of the Match.com page it reads: “SEEKING DATE FOR OCT. 3 WHEN @CLEMSON PLAYS NOTRE DAME.”
It was a creative and hilarious attempt by Clemson to win over the folks at College GameDay, who figure to also be considering heading to Athens, Ga., that day for the No. 12 Alabama -No. 7 Georgia game.
