He's back.

Arguably one of the most polarizing players to play the sport, current Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel made a return trip to College Station on Saturday to watch Texas A&M square off against Auburn and serve as honorary captain for the No. 19 Aggies.

Manziel was on the sidelines chatting with freshman quarterback Kyler Murray and offensive coordinator Jake Spavital before the game. Just before the teams came on the field, Manziel was introduced as the honorary captain and given a game ball. He smiled and waved to the crowd when his name was announced and was greeted with a rousing ovation.

Manziel had the weekend free after the Browns lost, 31-10, Thursday to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Manziel, who won the 2012 Heisman Trophy, is still a beloved figure in College Station after throwing for more 7,820 yards and 63 touchdowns and running for 2,169 yards and 30 more scores in just two seasons.
