The South Carolina-Clemson rivalry is a bitter one -- which has pitted the "Palmetto State" foes against each other since 1896.

Clemson holds the advantage with a 66-42-4 overall mark. It's also currently ranked as the No. 1 overall team in the country. While South Carolina is immensely struggling at 3-8, there's no question the university is excited for the matchup between the two teams this upcoming Saturday.
Interim head coach Shawn Elliott tweeted out a picture of South Carolina's Monday pep rally, entitled "Tiger Burn' -- where the university literally burns a gigantic tiger made out of black and orange paper.
The tradition dates back to 1902. At that time, a brawl had broken out between fans of the opposing programs.
