Photo: Virginia Tech breaks out special uniforms to honor Beamer

On Saturday, Virginia Tech will break out special all-black uniforms to honor retiring head coach Frank Beamer when the Hokies host No. 23 North Carolina in Beamer’s final game in Blacksburg.

The uniforms have orange and maroon stripes on them and also feature a special honorary Frank Beamer logo.

Beamer has coached at Virginia Tech for 29 years and has led the program to 22 straight winning seasons.

Virginia Tech (5-5, 3-3) will kick off against North Carolina (9-1, 6-0) at noon.
