Pittman the latest in a long line of assistants to leave Bielema
While offensive line coach Sam Pittman's move from Arkansas to Georgia was a surprise at the time, history shows Razorback head coach Bret Bielema has had a number of issues keeping on to his assistants in recent years.
Pittman marks the 14th assistant coach to leave Bielema since 2011 according to Coaching Search, and the eighth to leave him since his arrival in Fayetteville.
Before heading to Arkansas and the SEC, Bielema lost six assistants at Wisconsin in 2011, which he claimed prompted his move south to a school that would allow him to keep his assistants.
Although many of his assistants have left for promotions, Pittman's lateral move and defensive coordinator Chris Ash's lateral move to Ohio State in 2013 would seem to indicate Bielema may not have solved all his woes simply by taking the Arkansas job.
