Pittsburgh vs Clemson Live Stream: Watch Panthers vs Tigers Online
These two teams meet for the first time since 1977 as the Panthers visit Death Valley and the undefeated Clemson Tigers.
The Clemson Tigers are undefeated at 9-0 on the season and 6-0 in ACC play. They have survived every test thrown their way so far this season. They’ve beaten Auburn, Louisville, and Florida State by a combined total of 15 points. They continue to find ways to win.
This week they host the Pittsburgh Panthers. Quarterback Deshaun Watson is fourth in the conference in passing yards with 2,497 and second in passing touchdowns with 24.
Sophomore receiver Deon Cain has emerged as a consistent target for Watson as he leads the team in receiving touchdowns with eight. Receiver Mike Williams leads the team in receiving yards with 745 yards. He returns from a brutal neck injury he suffered last season as a formidable target as well.
The defense is led by linebacker Ben Boulware, who leads the team with 70 tackles. He’ll have his work cut out for him this week against the run-heavy Panthers.
The Pittsburgh Panthers stumble into Death Valley on a two-game losing streak. They gave up 51 points last week to Miami and this week could get worse.
The defense allows 34.4 points per game. They have allowed an average of 45 points in their last two contests. They are 2-3 in ACC play.
The offense does average 37 points per game which ranks 26th in the FBS. They are led by quarterback Nathan Peterman, who has thrown for 1,806 passing yards and 14 touchdowns this season. Running back James Conner leads the team in rushing yards and touchdowns with 712 yards and 11 touchdowns. Conner has a rushing touchdown in all but one game for the Panthers this season.
The Panthers will need to play a nearly perfect game to keep things close this week or it could be a repeat performance for them, much like last week.
