GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) Punter Tommy Townsend is transferring from Tennessee to Florida.

Florida coach Iim McElwain confirmed Thursday that Townsend was coming to Florida. Townsend will sit out the 2016 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Townsend redshirted at Tennessee last season. His brother, Johnny Townsend, is Florida's main punter.

Tennessee coach Butch Jones confirmed Thursday that reserve offensive tackle Dontavius Blair, wide receiver Cody Blanc and tight end Joe Stocstill also left the team.

Jones said Blanc, who already has graduated, opted against using his final season of eligibility. Jones added that ''our body says, `no,' at some point in time in our career, and that's what happened (with Stocstill).''

Blanc had one career catch. Blair played nine games in a reserve role last year. Stocstill appeared in 12 games last year.
