QB Deuce Wallace decommits from Wildcats

The recruiting Gods give and they take away.

Northwestern got great news when offensive lineman Nik Urban committed to the team over the weekend but on the heels of that came some bad news. QB Duece Wallace announced that he was opening up his commitment. Here is his statement per Rivals:

"I want to thank the Northwestern family and coaches for the opportunity to play football at such a prestigious program," he wrote. "But after much thought and a lot of prayer, I have decided to play football and attend my dream school." 

It's still early enough in the process that Northwestern should bounce back and find another QB recruit if they feel the need to take one.
