Raynard helps NC A&T top Bethune-Cookman 24-20 (Oct 21, 2017)

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Lamar Raynard threw three touchdown passes and North Carolina A&T rallied past Bethune-Cookman 24-20 on Saturday.

Raynard finished 11 of 25 for 177 yards, while Marquell Cartwright rushed for 91 yards on 20 carries for the Aggies (8-0, 5-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).

N.C. A&T trailed 20-14 entering the fourth quarter. With Bethune-Cookman driving, Deion Jones picked off Akevious Williams and returned it to the B-C 43. The Aggies conducted a 10-play drive but settled for Noel Ruiz's 30-yard field goal to make it 20-17. The Aggies defense forced a three-and-out the offense took it 52 yards on four plays, culminating with Raynard's 4-yard touchdown pass to Trey Scott.

The defense forced another three-and-out, and B-C's last possession ended in its own territory as time expired.

Bethune-Cookman (3-4, 2-2) was led by Larry Brihm Jr, who went 16 of 24 for 144 yards with a touchdown pass.
