Sapulpa High School running back Dea Williams, the 29th-best prospect in the state of Oklahoma according to 247Sports, visited Louisville over the weekend and seemed to enjoy meeting Bobby Petrino and the Cards’ coaching staff as well the community.

Per Scout.com:

Williams is a 6-2, 232-pound class of 16 running back who earned all-state honors following his senior season and is being wooed by SMU and Virginia Tech to name a few.

Williams has not made an official decision on where he will play next season but did say Louisville is definitely in the running for his services.

Per Scout.com:

“It went well," said Williams, who also made unofficial visit at U of L during the summer. "I definitely saw a lot of things that I was interested in.

"The coaching staff, I thought they were very genuine. The whole family aspect of it. The players took me in. Even though I hadn't been there since last summer, it felt like I had never left. There wasn't any awkwardness or anything like that."

How much of an impact did the visit make?

"It puts them up there," he said. "They've always been one of my favorite schools and have always been one that I've been considering. Now knowing what they have to offer really puts them up there."
